  • Pediatric Assessment of Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

This assessment is to help children and their families understand the intersection of their biological and functionality of behavior. A clinical interview with the parents coupled with information from the school (which may include in school observation if necessary) and other settings helps inform the creation of a personalized battery of assessments to address the family and child’s needs. The goal of the assessment is to better understand the various strengths and differences of each individual child and how they interact with each area of their life. This allows for the development of a comprehensive report with recommendations to best support and develop the child based on their skills and needs. We will meet as a family to discuss the report and how to use it ensure your child is succeeding to the best of their ability in the areas of life that matter most. This may also involve support in IEP/504 plans for schools and understanding of the legal rights your child has in the school district.

A clinical interview, review of records (with potential to collaborate with your medical providers), interviews/completed questionnaires of others and an individualized assessment battery will inform the assessment report and recommendations. This will all be reviewed with you after completion of the assessment coupled with any documentation needed for accommodations for work or collaboration with community partners for care.
